Does Athletes Corner have a beginner friendly strength training program?
Fundamentals, our new 12 week strength training program for beginner's is now live! This 12 week program is specifically designed for those with little to no gym or strength training experience that will help you nail down the fundamental movements of strength training.
What equipment do I need?
For AC In Your Corner, at a minimum, three sets of dumbbells (a light, medium, and heavy set) are required to complete each workout. However, our programs are designed to implement the use of barbells, dumbbells, weight plates, kettlebells, and occasionally the use of resistance bands, but do not let this be the reason you do not start your strength training journey.
We all need to start somewhere. All of our AC In Your Corner programs will have an advanced, intermediate, and beginner level of each exercise, allowing for flexibility of the workouts to be performed in a space that is convenient for you, with the equipment you have.
Fundamentals by Athletes Corner can be performed with just a resistance band, and two sets of dumbbells (light ~2.5-5 lbs and medium weight ~ 5-10 lbs).
Can I perform my workouts at home?
Strength training requires “progressive overload” to seek results, meaning that we need to stress our musculoskeletal system with progressively heavier weights over time to actually gain strength. Therefore, all of our AC In Your Corner workouts can be performed in a gym or at home, but they do require a minimum of three sets of dumbbells (a light, medium, and heavy set). All programs will have an advanced, intermediate, and beginner level of each exercise, allowing for flexibility of the workouts to be performed in a space that is convenient for you. Fundamentals by Athletes Corner can be performed completely at home.

What if I don’t have a barbell?
If you do not have a barbell, no problem at all. Strength training does not require a barbell. While most of our exercise programs will contain barbell exercises, we will always offer modifications of the exercise that include another form of weight (ex: dumbbells, kettlebells or even a resistance band). Do not be deterred from the workouts due to not having access to a barbell or not being comfortable using a barbell, we have you covered!
How long are the workouts?
AC In Your Corner workouts will be around 45-60 minutes long. Expect it to be slightly longer if you are using advanced equipment in a gym setting (to allow for setup time), on the contrary, if using minimal equipment at home, the workouts may fall slightly shorter than 45 minutes.
Fundamentals by Athletes Corner workouts range from 30-45 minutes, depending on the workout, and can be performed entirely at home with minimal equipment.
AC 1-on-1 workouts are entirely individualized and are created based on your goals and availability; therefore, there is no time requirement or constraint to these workouts.
Do I need strength training experience?
To enter into AC In Your Corner (our subscription-based monthly program), it is helpful to be familiar with the general movement patterns and have some experience in a workout setting, but strength training experience is not required. All of our AC In Your Corner programs will have an advanced, intermediate, and beginner level of each exercise, so it is easy to start with the beginner level!

If you are brand new to strength training or exercise in general, we recommend starting with Fundamentals by Athletes’ Corner. This is our 12-week beginner-friendly strength training program, which is a great entry point before jumping into AC In Your Corner.
However, if you don’t feel comfortable with strength training on your own just yet, even through our Fundamentals by Athletes Corner Program, consider joining our AC 1-on-1 program, where we can provide individualized guidance to help you get started.
Is there a nutritional component offered with Athletes Corner services?
This is something we hope to incorporate at a more in depth level in the future. Nutrition is not our area of expertise, but we understand its importance alongside strength training. What if I have a question about the programming?
We are always available for questions via email at info@atheletscorner.co, but upon joining AC In Your Corner, we invite you to our Community Forum, located directly in the Everfit app. This is a private group that is only available to current members of AC In Your Corner, where we encourage you to ask questions and provide encouragement to other members in this group. We promise not to leave you hanging, as we will be active members in the groups as well to answer your questions.
Do I have to join AC In Your Corner only at the beginning of each month?
No, our AC In Your Corner memberships are rolling admission. If the program starts on the first of the month and you join on the 15th of the month, you will then start the program on day 15. All of our programs work on 4 week cycles, all starting around the first of the month, joining in the middle will not deter your progress. You can jump right in. They always say the hardest part is starting, so why not join today and get the hardest part behind you!
Can I cancel my AC In Your Corner membership at any time?
Yes, although we’re sad to see you go, please email us directly at info@athletescorner.co to cancel your subscription.
