The Athletes Corner Team
We’re Gabriella and John, the co-founders of Athletes Corner, but more importantly, we’re two people whose lives were changed by strength training in very different ways.
Gabriella grew up as an athlete and spent years surrounded by sports, performance, and competition. But it wasn’t until working in the physical therapy world that she truly saw the power of strength training beyond athletics.
She saw people frustrated by recurring injuries, fearful of movement, and stuck in cycles of pain without a clear path forward.
Time and time again, strength training became the missing piece, not just for recovery, but for rebuilding confidence and trust in the body again.
What started as a passion for sports devolved into a deeper mission: helping people feel strong enough to fully live their lives again.
John’s journey looked different.
Like many busy professionals, work slowly began to consume most of his time and energy. Long hours, stress, and the demands of corporate life made it easy for health and movement to become an afterthought.
Over time, he realized he didn’t just miss exercise; he missed feeling energized and physically connected to himself.
Strength training became more than a workout. It became an outlet, a challenge, and eventually a passion.
Through training, he discovered a love for pushing himself in a way that made him feel healthier and stronger for everyday life.
Together, our experiences shaped the foundation of Athletes Corner. We wanted to build a place where strength training feels approachable, structured, and purposeful.
At Athletes Corner, we combine Gabriella’s background as a licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Strength Coach to create programs that help people build strength safely, improve performance, reduce injury risk, and create long-term consistency.
Because the truth is, training for everyday life is no different than training like an athlete.
Whether your goal is to run farther, keep up with your kids, get back into the gym confidently, prevent injuries, or simply feel strong again, we believe everyone deserves access to strength training that feels empowering, not overwhelming.
